WELDED CONNECTION
Ulas Pipe, produces spiral welded steel pipes in various connection types, taking into account the intended use of the pipes.
GLOBAL WELDED CONNECTION
It allows angles up to 10° without using special spacers. After mounting in accordance with the angle, external welding is performed.
CYLINDRICAL WELDED CONNECTION (MUFF)
It is especially used for pipes covered with concrete inside. After the assembly, external welding is done.
FLANGED CONNECTION
After the flanges, which are specially manufactured for the pipes, are welded to the pipe ends, the flange gasket is placed and combined with bolts.
Formulas
1. WEIGHT CALCULATION OF STEEL PIPES
W = 0.02466 (D-t) x t, (kg/m) D : Pipe Outer Diameter (mm) t : Pipe Wall Thickness (mm) W : Pipe Unit Weight (kg/m)
2. HYDROSTATIC TEST PRESSURE
The hydrostatic test pressure is found by calculation methods that include a stress lower than the yield stress of the steel.
P : Hydrostatic Test Pressure ( kPA) k : Calculated Percentage of Yield Voltage s : Specified Minimum Yield Voltage (MPA) t : Wall Thickness of the Pipe (mm) D : Outer Diameter of Pipe (mm)
St-37-44-52 : k=0,70
Grade A : k=0.60
Grade B : k=0.60
X42-X0 : k=0.60 D<5 916 in
: k="0.75" d 6 58-8 810 3 4-18> 20 in
3. UNIT SURFACE AREA A = Dx7rx103(m2m) A: Unit surface area (m2m) D: Pipe outer diameter (mm)
